[Multiple Listed Companies Plan to Raise Prices of Lithium Iron Phosphate Products]

According to information obtained by reporters from the First Third Council Meeting of the Lithium Iron Phosphate Materials Branch of the China Industrial Association of Power Sources, several leading companies have begun adjusting the prices of their products. Recently, the lithium iron phosphate industry has been witnessing an intensive wave of price hikes. Reporters have learned from multiple companies along the supply chain that leading manufacturers have started issuing clear price increase notices to their customers.  

It is understood that one major manufacturer has explicitly stated that, starting from 2026, processing fees for the entire range of lithium iron phosphate products will be uniformly raised. Another industry insider revealed that price increases for certain customers have already been implemented. Some companies are still in intensive negotiations with clients but acknowledge that "price hikes have become an inevitable trend." This move is expected to help restore profit margins for companies in the industry.

[China's Domestic Power Battery Installation Volume in November Reaches 93.5 GWh, Up 39.2% Year-on-Year]

The China Automotive Battery Innovation Alliance released the power battery monthly data for November 2025. In November, domestic power battery installation volume reached 93.5 GWh, an increase of 11.2% month-on-month and 39.2% year-on-year. Among these, ternary battery installation volume was 18.2 GWh, accounting for 19.4% of the total, showing a 9.9% month-on-month growth and a 33.7% year-on-year increase. Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery installation volume was 75.3 GWh, constituting 80.5% of the total, with an 11.6% month-on-month rise and a 40.7% year-on-year surge. From January to November, the cumulative domestic power battery installation volume was 671.5 GWh, reflecting a cumulative year-on-year growth of 42.0%. Within this, cumulative ternary battery installation volume was 125.9 GWh, representing 18.8% of the total, with a cumulative year-on-year increase of 1.0%. Cumulative LFP battery installation volume reached 545.5 GWh, making up 81.2% of the total, and saw a cumulative year-on-year growth of 56.7%.

[Wanrun Co., Ltd.: Solid-State Battery Materials Complete Pilot Lab Testing, Preparing for Pilot-Scale Production]

Recently, Wanrun Co., Ltd. stated on an interactive platform that the company has completed the pilot lab-scale development of solid-state battery materials. The developed product is lithium sulfide, which is currently primarily used as a key upstream material for solid-state battery electrolytes. Downstream enterprises have already assisted in testing the pilot lab samples, and their performance meets the required standards. Preparations are currently underway for the construction of a pilot-scale production line.

[Optimized Regulatory Measures for Import and Export of Lithium Thionyl Chloride Batteries Introduced]

On December 12, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), in conjunction with the Ministry of Commerce and the General Administration of Customs, jointly issued the "Notice on Optimizing Import and Export Regulatory Measures for Lithium Thionyl Chloride Batteries" (MIIT-Lian-An-Quan-Han No. 335, 2025). Effective January 1, 2026, individual lithium thionyl chloride batteries or battery packs containing no more than 1 kilogram of thionyl chloride (a Category III controlled chemical) will no longer require an "Import/Export Approval Form for Controlled Chemicals" or an "Import/Export License for Dual-Use Items and Technologies" for import or export. Other lithium thionyl chloride batteries or battery packs will still require relevant import/export approval procedures in accordance with existing regulations. Lithium thionyl chloride batteries are primary (non-rechargeable) consumer lithium batteries that use thionyl chloride as the positive active material and electrolyte. They are widely used in products such as smart instrumentation, medical devices, and scientific research equipment. [World's Largest Automotive Safety Testing Center Commences Operations in Ningbo, Zhejiang]

Recently, the world's largest automotive safety testing center was put into operation in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. This center encompasses multiple Guinness World Records, holding the title for the largest land area globally in the field of automotive testing and verification, while also boasting the most comprehensive testing capabilities. The automotive safety testing center also features several global or domestic "firsts": a Guinness-certified world's largest automotive environmental wind tunnel capable of simulating extreme climates from severe cold to intense heat, and high altitude to heavy rainfall; China's first collision test zone enabling 0 to 180-degree stepless adjustable angles for impacts; and a fully integrated testing system incorporating pedestrian protection, digital deformation analysis, and other functions.




[World's Largest Automotive Safety Testing Center Commences Operations in Ningbo, Zhejiang]

[Vietnam's Capital Plagued by Severe Smog, Government Urges Factory Output Cuts]

According to CCTV News, Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, has been grappling with severe smog for several consecutive days. Data from the air pollution information app AirVisual showed that at noon on December 11th, Hanoi's Air Quality Index (AQI) reached 243, placing it as the fourth most air-polluted city globally. In terms of PM2.5 concentration, the pollution level in Hanoi might be approximately 50 times higher than the World Health Organization's recommended standard of 5 micrograms per cubic meter. Earlier this week, the city also topped the list of the world's most air-polluted cities on multiple occasions. In response to the pollution, the Vietnamese Ministry of Health urged power, steel, and chemical plants to reduce production output earlier this week. Hanoi also plans to implement a ban on gasoline-powered motorcycles in parts of the city center from mid-2026, with the prohibition to be gradually extended to fuel-powered cars thereafter. Reports indicate that motorcycles are the primary mode of transport for Hanoi residents, with the city hosting around 7 million motorcycles and over 1 million cars.
