[SMM Lithium Carbonate Futures Review: LC2411 Main Contract Drops by 1.15%] On October 14, the main contract for lithium carbonate 2411 fell by 1.15%. According to data, the main contract for lithium carbonate 2411 opened at 74,600 yuan/ton and closed at 73,100 yuan/ton on the same day, with a trading volume of 179,620 lots and an open interest of 199,837 lots, an increase of 1,195 lots from the previous trading day. SMM's spot price for battery-grade lithium carbonate on the same day was quoted at 74,700-77,000 yuan/ton, with an average price of 75,850 yuan/ton, a decrease of 600 yuan/ton from the previous working day. In terms of the trend, the price of lithium carbonate opened high but quickly declined on the same day, repeatedly rallied and fell sharply to a low before stabilizing. It continued to fluctuate during the session, and after a slight rally in the afternoon, it fell to the lowest point of the day with volatility. The closing session saw repeated fluctuations, ultimately ending the day with a 1.15% decline.

SMM Lithium Carbonate Futures: LC2411 Contract Drops 1.15% Amid Volatile Trading

The China Photovoltaic Industry Association recently held a symposium on preventing vicious internal competition within the photovoltaic industry, aiming to resolve the issue of excess capacity. This meeting, which followed a closed-door session in Wenzhou, invited multiple leading photovoltaic enterprises to participate in the discussion.

The symposium primarily revolved around three agendas: firstly, to deliberate on an industry self-regulatory convention opposing inward spiral competition and below-cost dumping; secondly, to explore corresponding measures to orderly address the imbalance between supply and demand and overcapacity; and lastly, to put forward other suggestions guiding the healthy and orderly development of the industry.

It is understood that this symposium was an internal meeting, and the relevant content is expected to be released tonight.
